My Story
About Me
Since I was a small child I could see and feel energy. I knew that we are all connected to the Universe and to each other. I notice synchronicities of events.
About 10 years ago, I felt a strong pull towards energy work and healing. I did not know about Reiki until I got sick and was in the hospital. I was hooked up to a lot of wires that were monitoring my progress after brain surgery. The night after my surgery, I was out of it and I kept seeing visions. An angel came to me and asked me what I wanted to do with my life. I said I want to live and I want to help people. I want God to use me to heal others. I did not know the angel’s name but I kept thinking about the movie Transformers and I thought the angels name was Megatron. He corrected me. He said no, “My name is Metatron, and you know what you have to do.” So, I got out of bed on my knees and prayed.
The nurses did not know how I got out of bed because I was hooked up to so many wires. But I knew.
Soon after my recovery, I was searching on my computer and Reiki popped up. I found a Reiki Master in my area that was offering a Reiki I class. I signed up and got my Reiki I certificate and attunement then quickly went on to Reiki II and attunements. In 2018 I completed Reiki Level III and Master Level.
I have heard from other Reiki Practitioners and Reiki Masters that Reiki finds you.
Reiki found me when it was time and I was ready for this beautiful journey of healing.
I began my Usui Reiki Master Lineage by taking Usui Reiki Level I & Level II training and attunements. I began practicing on friends, family and animals. December 2018, I received Level III and Master Level Training, and attunements and certification of the Usui/Tibetan System of Reiki Healing.
I have continued my journey and training and received certifications as a Crystal Reiki Master. Shamanic Inca Reiki and Quantum Reiki.
My Approach
What to expect in a Reiki Session
The in-person Reiki Session is done on a massage table, the lights are lowered and calming relaxing music is played to help in setting a quiet and relaxing setting.
It is important to note that clients will benefit more if they are open to receive the reiki energy.
The client lays fully-clothed on the massage table and made comfortable. The client lays his/her head on pillows and a bolster is placed under knees. Sheets, blankets, and cloths to cover eyes are available for the client as well. Comfort is the first priority. It is not unusual for the client to fall asleep; snoring is welcomed.
Once the client is comfortable, I will start the music and through a series of hand positions will allow the reiki energy to flow where it is needed.
The client may feel heat, coolness, electricity, a wave of energy like floating, may see colors and /or visions or nothing at all but will still feel relaxed, overall wellbeing and inner peace.
Reiki energy is as individual as each person, and goes where it is needed on a deep emotional or spiritual level.
After the reiki session the client is given the opportunity to discuss the session with the practitioner. Drinking water is encouraged after the session as it facilitates the cleansing process.
